THE NOTCH HOSTEL, North Woodstock

The Notch Hostel offers a range of accommodations, including private rooms and shared bunk rooms. The Crawford Room features a queen bed, a full-size futon, an en suite bathroom, a cozy living room, and a private deck with a view of the backyard and gardens. Other options include the Carter Room with a full-size bed and quick access to common areas, and shared bunk rooms like the Franconia Room (sleeps 5), the Kinsman Room, the Mahoosuc Room (sleeps 7 in single beds), and the Pinkham Room (sleeps 8) with its own deck. The holiday home includes a kitchenette with a refrigerator and microwave. Twin/double rooms include a desk, a patio, and garden views. All guests have access to fully equipped kitchens, fridges, food storage, living room, dining room, library, WIFI, gardens, fire pits, and grounds. Carrigain Cabin, a converted tool shed, sleeps up to four people and includes a bunk bed, mini-fridge, microwave, a desk, and a private deck.

The Notch Hostel does not have any onsite restaurants.

Guests can explore the Kancamagus Highway, roadside overlooks, river recreation areas, geologic features, and hiking trails. The White Mountain Flyer bus service provides roundtrip transportation from Boston and Salem to destinations like The Flume Visitors Center, Falling Waters Trailhead, Cannon Mountain, and the AMC Highland Center. The Visitor's Center features a 3D map of the White Mountains. Other activities include cycling the White Mountains Circuit, hiking the Lonesome Lake Trail, and visiting Franconia Notch and the Old Man of the Mountain Historic Site at Cannon. In winter, The Notch hosts a lecture series featuring outdoor enthusiasts. Guests can take side trips to rivers and trails. Nearby waterfalls include Harvard Falls, Georgiana Falls, and Sabbaday Falls, which has a handicap-accessible path.

The Notch Hostel is located in North Woodstock, 2 km from Cascade Park and Cascade Falls, 4 km from Lahout's, 2 km from Ice Castles and Hobo Railroad, 3 km from Jean's Playhouse and Sugar Hill Scenic Vista and 5 km from Whales Tale Waterpark. Lebanon Municipal Airport is 100 km away.

The Notch Hostel provides 24/7 access to the property, kitchens, food storage areas, shower/bathroom facilities, gardens, and overnight guest privileges.
